I like the idea of posting powerpoints used in class as a review for tests. Also, it is a great way to communicate homework and other news to parents.

I saw a digital word wall that was set up in a slideshow. I also saw pictures of students and student art work. The last thing I saw was an area for the nights homework and a space where students could post comments/questions about their homework.

I saw some really neat pictures of art work created by children, and explanations about how they made them.

Some fun gadgets. Like feeding a hamster.

Some short video clips of student projects

I think the blog would be a great way to keep parents informed, to get the kids involved in what they are doing and why they are doing it. It also gives them a chance to voice their opinions.

3 Ways You Might Use a Blog?

1. As an online teaching portfolio and a means of "proving" your technology skills to your adminstrator or to the State Board of Educations (which is updating their technology portfolio requirements for teachers).

2. Share student work with parents and allow them to comment.

3. As a means of incorporating technology into a variety of subject areas.
